Animal Farm by George Orwell

This novel is one of the stories I was assigned to read and translate into Japanese when I was in senior high school. I am going to organize the characters in the novel.

Mr. and Mrs. Johnes were the owners of Manor Farm. They were human beings.

Major is a prize pig, who had recently become rather fat and has impressive face.
Bluebell, Jessie and Pincher were dogs.
Boxer and Clover cart horses. Clover was a motherly mare, approaching middle age. Boxer was very large and as strong as two ordinary horses put together.
Muriel was a goat.
Benjamin was the oldest animal on the farm and had worst temper. He was seldom talked, but if he did he said something cynical.
Ducklings had lost their mother.
Molly was the foolish, pretty female horse, who want to look cute.
Cat
Moses was the tame raven.

Napoleon looked fierce and was not a clever talker. He was one of the two most important pigs.
Snowball was a clever talker, but everyone thought he did not have Napoleon's firmness of purpose.
Squealer was the best talker of all and so clever at talking that it was said he could prove black was really white.

Major died.

Three pigs held secret meetings at night and organized Major's ideas into a complete system of thought.
